Unique Concept: Transformers-Inspired Integrated Post at Padalarang Welcomes Homecoming Travellers
The Integrated Post of Cimahi Police at Padalarang Toll Gate in West Bandung District has captured the attention of vehicle users. A mudik post building stands robustly, inspired by the Transformers robot character Optimus Prime.
Beyond its attractive concept, this 2026 Eid mudik integrated post also provides various facilities that can be utilised by travellers, including prayer rooms, children’s play areas, and free workshops.
Cimahi Police Chief AKBP Niko N Adiputra stated that the integrated post concept represents the hope that Polri can continue to transform into an increasingly precise institution. “Just as Optimus Prime is known as a heroic protector of mankind, we hope that Polri can also become a protector, guardian, and servant of the community,” he said on Tuesday (17/3).
According to him, many members of the public mistakenly believed the location was an amusement park, prompting them to stop briefly for photographs and to enjoy the atmosphere. “Of course, this is positive because they can relieve fatigue and restore fitness before continuing their journey,” he added.
The integrated post with this unique concept was appreciated by the National Police Commission, which directly inspected the location. What distinguishes this post is the approach used—presenting a child-friendly mudik perspective.
“As we can see, the use of cosplay themes and entertaining visual concepts aim to provide happiness, especially for children,” said National Police Commission Commissioner Choirul Anam.
He believed that the choice of theme is very important because during mudik mobility, children are always part of the journey, whether travelling between cities, between provinces, or family recreational trips. “Therefore, a child-friendly approach becomes an important message for all of us. We are reminded to provide happiness, attention, and positive interaction with children,” he explained.
He also urged that during the mudik season and the 2026 Eid celebration, all parties should be more welcoming towards children. “I personally feel happy seeing children being able to play and interact at this post, because it is an important part in building closeness and happiness together with the community,” he added.
