Unilever Records Net Profit of Rp 1.3 Trillion in Q1 2026
PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk (UNVR) recorded a 14.1% growth in net profit from continuing operations, reaching Rp 1.3 trillion throughout the first quarter of 2026. President Director of Unilever Indonesia, Benjie Yap, stated that this profit growth was supported by improved sales performance during the period. “Unilever recorded domestic sales growth of 3.5%, with underlying volume growth of 2.1%. As a result, the company’s net sales grew 2.8% to Rp 8.4 trillion in the first quarter of 2026,” said Benjie in his statement on Thursday, 30 April 2026. Meanwhile, the gross margin was recorded at 48.2%, or a decrease of 18 basis points compared to the previous year. However, excluding transformation costs, the gross margin remained strong at 48.8%. Furthermore, profit before tax from continuing operations showed an increase of 18.9%, or up 167 basis points compared to the same period last year. Therefore, Benjie stated that the company is on a positive advancement path, reflected in the improving company fundamentals in the first half of 2026. “Our first quarter 2026 results mark an important step to continue progressing, reflecting the momentum built throughout 2025,” said Benjie. He continued that amid still challenging external conditions, the disciplined steps implemented by the Company over the past year are beginning to show progress in the quality of growth, market execution strength, and the resilience of the Company’s financial performance. “These first quarter performance results further strengthen our confidence that our business is on a positive advancement path, supported by continuously improving fundamentals and increasingly strengthening momentum,” he said.
