Universitas Informatika dan Bisnis Indonesia (UNIBI) continues to strengthen its commitment as a campus that produces young entrepreneurs by reinforcing its entrepreneurship ecosystem and business incubator. This step is taken to equip students not only to enter the workforce but also to be capable of creating jobs. Vice Rector for Academic Affairs at UNIBI, Anang Bambang Pujianto, stated that the campus identity is built through the vision ‘Be the Young Entrepreneur’. According to him, entrepreneurial values are integrated into the learning process across all study programmes so that students become accustomed to thinking creatively, innovatively, and independently. ‘Our differentiation is certainly in line with our main tagline, which is Be the Young Entrepreneur. We consistently insert entrepreneurial values into every learning process,’ said Anang. As a concrete step, UNIBI is optimising the role of the Business Incubator Centre (PIB) as a platform for student coaching and mentoring. The incubator has achieved B accreditation and is ranked among the top 10 best business incubators. Through this facility, students gain space to develop business ideas, expand networks, and receive business mentoring. Anang said the campus wants to produce graduates who are not only oriented towards becoming professional workers but are also capable of becoming business actors who create new jobs and contribute to economic growth. ‘We encourage our students to become independent individuals who are able to create job opportunities for others,’ he said. In addition to highlighting entrepreneurship, UNIBI is also building its position as a campus that is close to the community. The campus carries a mission to expand access to higher education so that more families have members pursuing undergraduate degrees. ‘Our goal is to realise a programme where every family has at least one university graduate,’ said Anang. To support this vision, UNIBI has seven study programmes: Psychology, Communication Science, Visual Communication Design, Informatics, Information Systems, Management, and Accounting. Through strengthening the business incubator, integrating entrepreneurship into learning, and developing adaptive study programmes, UNIBI hopes to produce graduates who are ready to face global challenges while becoming competitive young entrepreneurs.
