Unhealthy aroma in Bogor

I have often traveled along the Pajajaran highway in Bogor. It is one of my favorite routes because of its cleanliness and small, neat gardens. The road is also overshadowed by large, dense foliage on both sides. This creates a quiet and serene atmosphere.

It is therefore regretted that a disgusting odor wafting from the gutters near the Bogor Botanical Gardens is ruining this picturesque environment. The smell starts around the bend of Jl. Otista until Palang Merah Hospital, and sometimes stretches as far as Plaza Internusa.

I don't know what is causing this unhealthy odor. I know that garbage in the surroundings consists of organic matter such as dried leaves, which decompose easily.

A friend of mine suspects that H2S or sulfur is the cause of this bad smell, which could cause breathing problems and poisoning. This information has made me worried and restless, because the odor has been lingering for some time, and is not a recent problem.

I hope the authorities will respond to the problem soon, for the sake of the city's beauty and image.

There is a verse about the city Bogor. "Beautiful, comfortable Bogor, like a garden flower, tourists flock to you, because you are so attractive." Let's not change it.
