Unhas Prepares for Implementation of UTBK SNBT Examination

Makassar — Hasanuddin University (Unhas) is finalising preparations for the Computer-Based Written Test (UTBK) National Selection Based on Test (SNBT) examination, scheduled to take place from 21-30 April 2026.

Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs Prof drg Muhammad Ruslin, speaking in Makassar on Saturday, emphasised the importance of preliminary coordination meetings to ensure all technical and operational aspects are prepared to the maximum.

He explained that the committee working model that has been implemented to date has received support from the central committee. “This demonstrates that the working system applied is consistent with national mechanisms, whilst strengthening our shared commitment to conducting transparent, orderly and credible selection processes. This is what we need to maintain and optimise,” he said.

“We are contributing to the success of the government programme; we must ensure that the entire process is properly validated and is able to provide public confidence in the national selection system,” he stated.

UTBK Implementation Coordinator at Unhas Nurul Ichsani outlined various technical aspects related to the examination schedule, arrangement of examination venues and the operational system for examination implementation.

In the implementation of the 2026 UTBK SNBT, there will be several adjustments to the number of venues and examination rooms. Whereas last year there were 19 locations with 49 examination rooms, for this year the UTBK will be conducted at 15 locations with a total of 44 examination rooms.
