Unhan Cadets Encourage Students at Aceh’s SRT 3 to Learn

Banda Aceh (ANTARA) — Seven cadets from Indonesia’s Defence University (Unhan) are serving at Integrated People’s School (SRT) 3 in Aceh Province, where they are encouraging pupils to study.

“The presence of seven Unhan cadets and one supervisor has brought a distinctive dimension to learning for the children at SRT 3 Aceh Province. The children appear very comfortable with them and have warmly received the knowledge shared by the cadets,” said Seri Amalia, head of SRT 3 Aceh Province, in Kuta Malaka District, Aceh Besar Regency, on Wednesday.

She said the cadets’ presence had encouraged the pupils to approach their studies with optimism and become more disciplined in their activities at the dormitory and school.

The cadets have provided instruction in national awareness, marching drills, neatness, discipline, personal health, scouting and singing.

“They have also received guidance on independence, leadership, decision-making and teamwork,” she said.

The school hopes the cadets will continue to inspire students from families in deciles one and two to build a better future through education.

“Education is the gateway to success and to improving families’ welfare,” she said.

SRT 3 Aceh Province now has a permanent building and enrols 30 primary-school pupils, 120 junior secondary-school pupils and 180 senior secondary-school pupils, as well as 97 pupils in its pilot programme.
