UNG Professor Novianty Djafri: Education Leaders Must Be Inspirators
Gorontalo State University (UNG) Professor Dr. Novianty Djafri has stated that leaders in the field of education should not merely function as administrators, but must also serve as inspirators capable of mobilising all school components to achieve a common vision.
This was conveyed by Prof. Novianty during an International Community Engagement seminar themed ‘Innovative Leadership for Business Transformation Across Disciplines’. The event was organised by Cendekia Publishing in collaboration with Universidad Internacional del Ecuador (UIDE) and several Indonesian higher education institutions.
‘Transformational leaders are able to motivate their members to transcend personal interests in order to realise the overarching goals and vision of an educational organisation,’ said Prof. Novianty, an academic from the Education Management Department within UNG’s Faculty of Education.
Prof. Novianty explained that a key characteristic of transformational leadership is the capacity to provide individualised consideration and intellectual stimulation to every teacher and education staff member. She assessed that this approach is effective in optimally developing human resource potential while simultaneously building an innovative and collaborative work culture.
