Uneven Distribution Leads to Stock Shortages at Several BP Petrol Stations
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The availability of petroleum fuel (BBM) at BP’s network of petrol stations is currently under scrutiny. Several locations have been reported to be out of stock, particularly for certain types of petrol, although the company assures that supplies are in the process of being delivered.
Based on field observations, some BP petrol stations in the Bogor, Depok, and Jakarta areas even appear deserted due to temporary non-operation.
This situation indicates distribution disruptions that directly impact consumer activities.
According to BP’s official website on Tuesday (21/4/2026) at 02:00 WIB, their network of petrol stations currently spans DKI Jakarta, Banten, West Java, and East Java.
For BP 92 fuel, availability is actually quite widespread, but there are still several locations out of stock.
A similar situation is occurring in Banten, where this type of fuel is not yet available at Bintaro Emerald, Ciater Raya, GS Paramount, Metland Cybercity, and Pondok Cabe.
In West Java, the list of locations without BP 92 stock includes Alternatif Sentul, BP Sholeh Iskandar, Dago, Grand Galaxy, Jababeka Hollywood, Karawang Barat, KHI Boulevard, Margonda Raya, Raffles Hills, and Rest Area Km 72.
Not only BP 92, but the availability of BP Ultimate fuel is also a concern. The majority of petrol stations are reported to be out of stock of this type. In DKI Jakarta, BP Ultimate is only available at Citra Palem, Kalideres, and Pluit Indah. In Banten, it is only available at Asterra West BSD.
For the West Java region, this fuel is recorded as available at Grand Wisata and Kota Wisata. Meanwhile, in East Java, BP Ultimate is not available at all.
In West Java, its distribution is said to be even across all petrol stations. In East Java, BP Ultimate Diesel is still not available at several points such as Gubeng Raya, Margorejo Indah, and Pemuda Surabaya.
Nevertheless, BP emphasises that these shortages are temporary. The fuel supplies are still in the distribution process to various petrol stations, so availability is expected to return to normal in the near future.
