Undip Student Assault Case: Dozens of Students Put Under Investigation

Police have escalated the assault case involving 30 Diponegoro University (Undip) students against Arnendo (20) to the investigation stage. Police have also carried out a medical examination on Arnendo.

‘For the status of the case itself, we have raised it to the investigation stage,’ said the Head of the Semarang City Police’s Criminal Investigation Unit, AKBP Andika Dharma Sena, at the Semarang City Police Headquarters in South Semarang District, as reported by detikJateng on Thursday, 5 March 3026.

Andika said the Semarang City Police’s Reskrim had also questioned several witnesses who were aware of the incident and had conducted a medical examination of the victim. The results of the medical examination showed there were several scratches and bruises on Arnendo’s body.

‘We have also coordinated with the doctor who issued the medical report, so that we can carry out a joint analysis and discuss it,’ he said.

‘Yesterday there were several aspects we needed to delve into because, according to the victim’s statements, the listed names are aliases rather than real names,’ he continued.

The police are also coordinating with the university to obtain the true identities and clear names of the students named by the victim, for the purpose of summoning them for questioning.
