Undiksha Singaraja Officially Transforms into Legal Entity State University
Singaraja, Bali - Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) Singaraja, Bali, has officially transformed from a Public Service Agency State University (PTN-BLU) to a Legal Entity State University (PTN-BH) following the issuance of the Government Regulation concerning the Statutes of Ganesha University of Education as a PTN-BH.
The Government Regulation was presented by the Director General of Higher Education of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, Prof. Dr. Khairul Munadi, S.T., M.Eng., to the Rector of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Lasmawan, M.Pd., in Jakarta.
Speaking on Wednesday, the Rector of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Lasmawan, stated that the change in status to PTN-BH marks a new chapter for Undiksha to become an increasingly independent, adaptive, and competitive university.
According to him, the PTN-BH status provides wider scope for Undiksha to develop governance as well as academic and non-academic policies in accordance with the needs and characteristics of the institution.
“The essence of PTN-BH is not merely a change in institutional status. More than that, PTN-BH is about independence in managing the university, improving service quality, strengthening innovation, and increasing the university’s contribution to society, the nation, and the state,” he said.
He emphasised that the autonomy gained through the PTN-BH status must go hand in hand with increasing responsibility. Undiksha, he noted, is required to build professional, transparent, and accountable governance oriented towards quality improvement and providing a real impact on society.
