Undiksha Inaugurates Three Professors in Impactful Programmes

Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) in Singaraja, Bali, has inaugurated three professors as concrete evidence of the university’s commitment to strengthening the quality and competitiveness of higher education.

“This inauguration is tangible proof of Undiksha’s sustainable commitment to accelerating impactful higher education,” said Undiksha Rector Prof I Wayan Lasmawan in Singaraja, Bali, on Friday.

He emphasised that the presence of these new professors will provide significant contributions to the development of the institution as one of the best universities on the Island of the Gods.

Lasmawan also stated that the inaugurated professors are proven academics, not only in achieving educational qualifications up to the doctoral level but also in attaining the highest academic position as professors.

The three professors inaugurated today are assessed to have successfully reached both peaks with full dedication.

His side is optimistic that the presence of these new professors will drive improvements in quality and the future existence of Undiksha.

He also invited the entire academic community to continue creating and making an impact.

“Do not write just to be understood; continue writing so that it cannot be misunderstood. Do not judge each day by the harvest you reap, but by the seeds of goodness you plant,” he said.

In addition, this inauguration is hoped to serve as inspiration for other lecturers. Based on data, there are currently 81 Undiksha lecturers holding the position of Associate Professor and holding doctoral degrees who have great potential to achieve the professor title.

“With strong determination and institutional support, I am confident that the professor achievement can be attained in a short time,” he added.

It was emphasised that the professor position is not merely an individual achievement but also an important milestone for the institution in strengthening Undiksha’s role in the development of impactful higher education in Indonesia.

The three academics inaugurated are Prof Luh Joni Erawati Dewi as Professor in the field of Educational Research and Evaluation (Programme Evaluation), Prof Gede Suweken in the field of Applied Mathematics Education, and Prof I Dewa Ayu Made Budhyani in the field of Measurement and Evaluation of Vocational Education in Fashion Design.

With this addition, the number of professors at Undiksha now reaches 98.
