The repeated pressures indicate that the rupiah’s depreciation is not solely due to global turmoil, but also a reflection of fundamental problems. On Thursday (30/4), the rupiah weakened again by 0.12% to Rp 17,346 per US dollar. This level marks a new lowest point in the history of the rupiah.
