Under Calculation, Bahlil Says Non-Subsidised Fuel Prices Will Be Adjusted
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), Bahlil Lahadalia, has admitted that the adjustment of non-subsidised fuel prices is still under calculation.
“Regarding RON 92, RON 95, RON 98 fuel. Including Dex diesel. We will make adjustments after the calculations are complete. Right now, we are still conducting the exercise,” he said at the State Palace in Jakarta on Wednesday (8/4/2026).
“And hopefully, pray that the ICP price can indeed drop. That would be much better. But up to now, we are still doing the calculations with business entities. Such as Pertamina and the private sector,” he added.
On the other hand, when asked about other sources of fuel imports, Bahlil did not give a clear answer.
“We’ll hear about it when it happens,” he said.
“(From Russia? I’m not an expert who can speculate on that. Wait until it happens, then we’ll convey it,” Bahlil stressed.
The same sentiment was expressed by State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi.
“We will convey it in due time. The important thing is not from which country, the important thing is that the stock is safe. We ensure safety based on calculations, of course,” he said.
