Universitas Nusa Cendana (Undana) Kupang, in East Nusa Tenggara Province (NTT), is collaborating with Celerates (PT Mitra Talenta Grup) to strengthen students’ digital competencies and produce graduates ready to work in the technology industry.

Coordinator of the Computer Science Study Programme at Undana, Yanto Triwahyuadi Polly, stated during an online audience in Kupang on Wednesday that industry involvement is a crucial need in developing technology-based education.

“We will formulate an effective cooperation format so that students gain significant added value and are ready to compete in the job market,” he said.

He added that the collaboration is part of efforts to strengthen the link and match concept between higher education and the industrial world.

Through this collaboration, Undana students have the opportunity to access talent databases, participate in certified internship programmes, and obtain job placements through Celerates’ partner industry networks.

Through the programme, students will be guided by practitioners to work on real projects within the digital ecosystem.

In addition to targeting students, the collaboration also includes enhancing lecturers’ capacities through a Training of Trainers (ToT) programme, which allows teaching staff to update their insights on the latest technological developments.

Vice Dean for Academic Affairs of the Faculty of Science and Engineering at Undana, Prof. Maria Agustina Kleden, emphasised that every cooperation must have a real impact on the quality of graduates.

“This collaboration must produce measurable achievements, both for improving student competencies and curriculum relevance,” she said.

Celerates is also committed to providing special subsidies for Undana students participating in the programme to alleviate financial burdens.
