Nvidia has received orders worth US$1 trillion (Rp16.985 trillion) for two of its flagship chip products, Blackwell and Vera Rubin, with deliveries scheduled for approximately the next two years.

CEO Jensen Huang stated that demand for both Blackwell and Vera Rubin has surged from both large enterprises and startups alike.

“If they can obtain additional capacity, they can provide more tokens, and their revenue will increase,” Huang said, as cited by CNBC International on Monday, 16 March 2025.

Nvidia’s GPU chips are selling briskly as technology companies race to develop and offer AI products. Consequently, Nvidia’s share price has skyrocketed, propelling the company’s valuation to US$4.5 trillion (Rp76.432 trillion), the highest in the world.

Jensen Huang has also benefited from the surge in his shareholdings, becoming one of the world’s wealthiest individuals with a fortune of US$158.6 billion (Rp2.700 trillion).

Vera Rubin is a new chip scheduled for release at the end of this year. With 1.3 million components, Vera Rubin is claimed to improve performance per watt by up to tenfold compared to its predecessor, Grace Blackwell. This enhancement is crucial for reducing electricity consumption in AI processing across data centres worldwide.

Last year, Nvidia projected revenues of US$500 million from sales of both chip technologies.
