UN Spokesperson States Guterres is Concerned About Afghanistan-Pakistan Border Clashes

UN Secretary-General António Guterres is following with full concern the cross-border clashes between Afghanistan and Pakistan.

In a statement to correspondents on Thursday, UN Secretary-General’s spokesperson Dujarric said that the UN chief is urging the parties involved to comply with their obligations in accordance with international law and to ensure the protection of civilians.

“Commending the mediation efforts by several member states over recent months, the secretary-general urges the parties to continue efforts to resolve any differences through diplomatic channels,” said Dujarric.
