UN Secretary-General Urges Developed Nations to Honour Climate Funding Commitments

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has called on developed nations to honour their commitments and provide US$1.3 trillion per year in funding to developing countries by 2035 to address climate change adaptation.

The appeal was made during the opening session of the 39th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the African Union on Saturday (14 February) at the African Union headquarters in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia.
