UN Hopes US-Iran Negotiations Will Continue

United Nations Headquarters, New York (ANTARA) - The United Nations hopes that negotiations between the United States and Iran can be continued and the current ceasefire extended. “We very much hope that the dialogue between the US and the Islamic Republic of Iran can be continued, the ceasefire extended, and diplomacy fully pursued,” said Stéphane Dujarric, spokesperson for UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres. Dujarric stated during the daily press conference that Guterres, along with his personal envoy for the Middle East conflict, Jean Arnault, continues to engage in various communications. The ceasefire between the US and Iran, which has lasted for two weeks, is scheduled to end on Wednesday.
