Umuh Urges Persib Fans to Celebrate Victory Without Flares at the Stadium

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG – Persib Bandung Bermartabat (PBB) Commissioner H Umuh Muchtar, alias Wa Haji Umuh, asked Bobotoh not to light flares during Persib’s match against Persijap at GBLA Stadium in Bandung, West Java, on Saturday (23 May 2026). He said the fines imposed by the PSSI disciplinary committee on Persib have been numerous. “Insya Allah, tomorrow we hope for order and that all Bobotoh understand and love Persib; there should be no one entering to cause trouble. No flares while the match is ongoing; after it finishes, it’s fine,” he said after attending the 80th anniversary of Kodam III/Siliwangi in Bandung, on Friday (23 May 2026) night WIB. In several matches, he noted the club has been fined by the PSSI disciplinary committee because supporters lit flares in stadiums. Haji Umuh said that in some matches fines have reached Rp 3.5 billion. “(The fines) Rp 3.5 billion, unfortunately. Truly love Persib. The Bobotoh in West Java and Persib supporters are all good and understand; they are mature; only a few unclear individuals exist. If the Bobotoh are genuine, I come from Bobotoh; alhamdulillah, for 16 years there has not been a manager for 16 years,” he said. Haji Umuh said he is optimistic Persib can beat Persijap and win the league title for the third time, a hat-trick. However, he urged Bobotoh not to become overexcited about the league title. “I am optimistic; we will see in training on the field. Let’s not call us champions yet, but we must win. Insha Allah there will be a bonus for them,” he added.
