Ummat Party Attends 2026 National Justice Congress and Meets PM Anwar Ibrahim
The Daily Chair of the Ummat Party Central Executive Board (DPP), Heikal Safar, and the Secretary-General of the Ummat Party DPP, Taufik Hidayat, attended an invitation from the Prime Minister of Malaysia and President of the People’s Justice Party (PKR), Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. Both participated in the inauguration of the 2026 National Justice Congress at the Melaka International Trade Centre (MITC), Ayer Keroh, Melaka, on Saturday (15/8/2026).
The 19th National Justice Congress, held from 14 to 16 August 2026, carried the theme ‘Restoring Reform, Building MADANI’. The event was attended by thousands of representatives, observers, PKR members, and invited guests from various circles.
According to Chairman Heikal, the congress programme included several key agendas, including debate sessions involving 16 discussants from various party wings and state representatives. The discussions covered a number of strategic issues, such as the economy, education, and public welfare.
Another agenda item was the presentation of the Bill Kayong Award to five families as a form of appreciation for the service of members deemed to have contributed to the party. The congress was also enlivened by the Mega Rahmah Carnival and strategic cooperation with various government agencies to bring services closer to the public.
‘In addition, the holding of the Mega Rahmah Carnival and strategic cooperation with various government agencies is an important part of efforts to bring services closer to the public,’ Heikal told the media in Jakarta on Sunday (16/8/2026).
