UMKM Turnover at Semarapura Festival Reaches Rp 500 Million Last Night
The Semarapura Festival VII, held over four days from 28 April to 1 May 2026, has brought blessings to micro, small, and medium enterprise (UMKM) actors in Klungkung. On the first night alone, the total turnover is estimated to have reached Rp 500 million from 130 UMKM stalls featuring culinary and craft items.
“If over four days, it could reach around Rp 2 billion,” said the Head of Micro Enterprises at the Klungkung Cooperative, UMKM, and Trade Office, I Nengah Suparta, to detikBali on Wednesday (29/4/2026).
Observations by detikBali on the first night, Tuesday (28/4/2026), showed hundreds of UMKM stalls crowded by thousands of residents who came to enjoy the exhibition and arts performances. At nearly all stalls, visitors were seen queuing to get the desired culinary offerings.
Suparta explained that from the start, his side had curated the assisted UMKM. Thus, it is ensured that 100 culinary UMKM are the best and attract public interest.
“So in total there are 147 stalls. 100 culinary, 30 crafts, and 17 sponsors,” Suparta clarified.
Meanwhile, Acting Head of Tourism Klungkung I Gusti Agung Gede Putra Mahajaya explained that this year’s Semarapura Festival is themed ‘Smarana Atira Prabha’, meaning the light emanating from past memories.
The event, which is part of the 118th anniversary of the Puputan Klungkung and the 34th anniversary of Semarapura City, this year is included in the Kharisma Event Nusantara (KEN) of the Ministry of Tourism 2026.
Mahajaya hopes that the implementation in the remaining three days will run successfully. In addition, he invites all residents to jointly enliven the event.
“Hopefully it remains crowded until the last day. Because this is also aimed at enlivening the creative economy,” he said.
