Jakarta, Indonesia — TikTok Indonesia has reported a significant rise in sales by micro, small and medium enterprises (UMKM) through e-commerce platforms during Ramadan. In early Ramadan 2026, LIVE shopping was watched more than 3.4 million times, boosting products such as gamis, mukena, coffee, mobile phones and shirts to best-sellers, according to Antonia Adega, Communications Senior Lead for Tokopedia & TikTok Shop Indonesia, in a statement in Jakarta on Thursday.

Citing the positive impact of the synergy between sellers, affiliates and platform features and campaigns, she said they will continue to strengthen collaboration to create a range of innovations and initiatives tailored to helping local entrepreneurs market their products within an integrated ecosystem comprising TikTok, Tokopedia and TikTok Shop.

Edwin Lengkei, Communications Lead for TikTok Indonesia, added that Ramadan has always been a special moment on TikTok; last year more than 21.9 million videos were posted during the fasting month, reflecting high participation by the TikTok community in Indonesia.

He noted that the power of discovery and community support, combined with the ease of shopping on Tokopedia and TikTok Shop, opens growth opportunities for local brands including UMKM, especially during Ramadan.

One MSME in the fashion sector, Mukena Wisanggeni founder Nila Wulandari, said that Ramadan this year saw transaction growth of up to 100 percent compared with ordinary days.

“Tokopedia and TikTok Shop make it easier for us to market products creatively and reach potential buyers. During Ramadan this year, our transaction value more than doubled,” she said.

Another Muslim fashion entrepreneur from Bandung, Deby Lianti, founder of Gwenza, revealed that transactions during Ramadan rose sevenfold via sales on digital platforms.

“We launched our latest collection for Ramadan Extra Fun 2026 through a 13-hour live streaming session, consistently, with engaging content alongside artists and affiliates,” she said.
