UMB Students Win First Place at UNEX 2026 with Mini.S7udio Innovation
Students from Mercu Buana University (UMB) have once again achieved stellar success on the national stage. Amid increasingly competitive job markets, UMB students have demonstrated that universities are evolving into incubators for innovative and promising creative enterprises.
The latest achievement was secured by the Mini.S7udio team, which won first place in the ‘Growing Business – Impact Expo’ category at the Unsika Entrepreneurship Expo (UNEX) 2026. This prestigious entrepreneurship competition was organised by Singaperbangsa Karawang University (Unsika) and featured participation from universities across Indonesia.
UMB entered two standout teams under the Entrepreneurship Bureau’s guidance: Maitora and Mini.S7udio. Their participation reflects the university’s strategic commitment to fostering young entrepreneurs capable of competing in the creative industry, rather than merely seeking employment.
Led by Ainah Hasanah Nurbaiti, Dita Auliyah, and Lismayani, the Mini.S7udio team impressed the judges with an innovative business model that is market-relevant and delivers tangible social impact.
Team leader Ainah Hasanah Nurbaiti stated that full university support was key to developing their business idea to the national competition stage.
‘We thank Unsika for organising this event and UMB’s Entrepreneurship Bureau for supporting Mini.S7udio as a growing student-led creative enterprise,’ Ainah said.
She added that the team’s ambitions extend beyond national borders. ‘We hope Mini.S7udio can expand globally and become a recognised sustainable creative solution for Gen Z,’ she said.
