UMB Offers Full Scholarships for SNBT Programme Students

Mercu Buana University (UMB) in Jakarta offers scholarship schemes ranging from tuition fee discounts to full scholarships for the duration of studies for applicants to the 2026 National Test-Based Selection (SNBT) programme. Vice Rector for Resources Professor Rizki Briandana stated in Tangerang on Sunday that the initiative is part of the university’s efforts to broaden access to quality higher education for Indonesian youth with academic potential and a drive to excel. “Through this programme, we also aim to provide wider opportunities for students seeking quality higher education. Higher education must remain accessible to students from diverse economic backgrounds,” he said. He added that universities have a responsibility to create ample opportunities for young people to access quality education. With increasingly competitive job markets, universities must produce graduates who are not only academically strong but also adaptable, critically thinking, and globally aware. Therefore, alongside scholarship schemes, Mercu Buana University continues to develop learning programmes aligned with industry needs and international trends. This includes international programmes and joint degrees that offer students cross-border academic experiences. Prof Rizki noted that students today require a learning environment that integrates academic competencies, professional skills, and global experience to prepare for the increasingly dynamic job market. “We aim to ensure students receive not only quality education but also opportunities to grow through programmes relevant to future needs,” he said.
