Universitas Muhammadiyah (UM) Bandung opened admissions on Wednesday (21 October 2026) for its undergraduate Cosmetic Engineering programme for the first semester of the 2026/2027 academic year. Applications are open until 30 October 2026, following the programme’s official approval by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology (Kemendiktisaintek). The programme is part of the Faculty of Pharmacy.

“Thank God, the Cosmetic Engineering programme has received official approval from Kemendiktisaintek. We have therefore officially opened admissions for prospective students,” said UM Bandung Faculty of Pharmacy Dean Dwintha Lestari in a statement on Thursday (22 October 2026).

Dwintha said the inaugural intake is targeting 30 students. UM Bandung is also offering a 50 per cent tuition-fee reduction specifically for the first cohort.

The regular tuition fee for the Cosmetic Engineering programme is Rp7.6 million. With the 50 per cent reduction, first-cohort applicants can receive a tuition discount, subject to the applicable terms.

Dwintha said the launch of the programme was a concrete step by UM Bandung to expand access to higher education in cosmetics, innovation and technology. The programme is expected to meet demand for education relevant to developments in the cosmetics industry.

Through the programme, prospective students will have the opportunity to develop knowledge and skills in cosmetic engineering. These competencies are expected to equip them to contribute to product development and innovation in the cosmetics industry.
