ULM supports President’s Directive programme through research strengthening

Universitas Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) is fully committed to supporting the implementation of the 10 President’s Directive programmes by strengthening research, education, and community service. ULM Rector Prof Ahmad Alim Bachri stated in Banjarmasin on Monday that the university holds a strategic position as a government partner in providing scientific studies, innovation, and data-based policy recommendations. This contribution is realised through research-based policy formulation, development of innovations suited to regional characteristics, improvement of human resource quality, and community assistance across various sectors. The Rector noted that with strong academic resources and a broad network, ULM is ready to become a centre of thought that drives innovation and a development partner helping to accelerate the realisation of national priority programmes for public welfare. The execution of the 10 President’s Directive programmes is part of efforts to achieve the Indonesia Emas 2045 vision, which has been outlined in the 2025–2029 National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN), the President’s Asta Cita, and Home Affairs Ministerial Regulation Number 17 of 2025. The programmes cover economic growth, inflation control, free nutritious meals, construction of three million homes, Koperasi Merah Putih, Sekolah Rakyat, food self-sufficiency, free health screenings, Sekolah Garuda, and the eradication of extreme poverty. The Rector stated that these various programmes are closely linked to the conditions and development challenges in South Kalimantan.
