Banjarbaru - Universitas Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) has successfully passed 107 research proposals for funding by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemdiktisaintek) through various schemes in the 2026 Research and Development Funding Programme.

“Alhamdulillah, this is a very proud achievement from our lecturers, the result of consistent efforts to improve the quality of research and community service conducted in a planned manner,” said ULM Rector Prof Ahmad Alim Bachri in Banjarbaru on Tuesday.

He emphasised that this accomplishment did not come suddenly. His side has built a systematic research ecosystem, from strengthening faculty capacity to more directed proposal management.

The Rector revealed that every year, ULM’s Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) consistently organises research and community service coaching clinics.

This activity serves as an intensive training space for lecturers in preparing competitive and relevant proposals aligned with national needs.

In addition, there are 3 research proposals under the PROTOTYPE scheme, 1 Applied Research Output Model (PT-LM), and 3 Applied Research Output Prototype (PT-LP).

Under the collaborative and strategic schemes, ULM also obtained 3 SINERGI proposals and 1 RIKUB proposal.

Meanwhile, in the field of community service (PKM), ULM’s achievements are no less significant with 22 PKM Proposals, 2 Beginner Community Empowerment Proposals (PMP), 1 Nusantara Arts Innovation Programme Proposal (PISN), as well as one each of follow-up Supervised Village Empowerment (PDB) proposal and one follow-up Business Partner Empowerment for Regional Superior Products (PM-UPUD) proposal.

Not only that, there are also 3 Bestari category proposals that have been funded.

“This success is inseparable from the continuous coaching strategy,” he added.

LPPM Secretary Dr Yuslena Sari added that the approach taken not only focuses on quantity but also on the quality of outputs.

“We ensure that every submitted proposal has the potential for real impact, both in the development of scientific knowledge and in solving societal problems,” she stressed.
