ULM Explores Potential of Resource-Rich HSU Regency

Banjarmasin (ANTARA) - Universitas Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) is exploring the potential of Hulu Sungai Utara (HSU) Regency in South Kalimantan, which is rich in local resources, to be developed as an agrominapolitan area that integrates agriculture, fisheries, and livestock sectors based on local potentials. “HSU has very potential local resources to be developed in an integrated manner,” said Rector Prof Ahmad Alim Bachri in Banjarmasin on Sunday. The Rector also conveyed several strategic recommendations starting from mapping regional potentials, strengthening the role of regional apparatus (SKPD) in programme integration, to preparing a medium-term development action plan for the next five years. “We will also guide through scientific studies, applied research, and assistance so that development runs more directed, sustainable, and has a real impact on the community,” he added.
