ULBI, in collaboration with PT Pos Indonesia, has launched the Employment Bond Programme for prospective students entering the Academic Year 2026/2027. Selected participants will be guaranteed immediate employment at PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) upon graduation, with the scheme also known as ‘Diterima Kerja sebelum Wisuda’ (Hired Before Graduation).

The Programme Ikatan Kerja was launched at ULBI Campus, Jalan Sariasih No 54, Bandung, on Thursday (5/3). Attendees included ULBI Rector Prof I Nyoman Pujawan, Chair of the YPBPI ULBI Kiagus M Amran, and the Director of Human Capital Management PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) Asih Kurniasari Komar.

Rector Prof I Nyoman Pujawan said that, as a campus affiliated with the BUMN PT Pos Indonesia, ULBI offers a dedicated pathway. The launch set a maximum quota of 90 people for those who pass the selection.

“The programme provides students with a direct career pathway from the outset. However, they will be bound by a work contract with PT Pos Indonesia, subject to meeting all academic requirements and applicable regulations,” he stated.

He added that through this programme, ULBI offers more certain career prospects compared with the usual competitive recruitment in state-owned enterprises (BUMN).

“Therefore, the work-binding scheme offered by ULBI is a strategic opportunity for high school graduates looking to build a career in the national logistics sector,” Pujawan said.

Online Registration

The Employment Bond Programme is open to graduates from 2023 to 2026 who meet several requirements. These include an average grade of at least 85 in Mathematics, Indonesian, and English; physical and mental fitness, no colour blindness, and willingness to be placed anywhere in Indonesia.

Participants must also undertake a multi-stage selection process, from administrative screening, Academic Potential Test, psychometric testing and the AKHLAK test, to interviews and a medical examination. The selection system is knockout at each stage, with all testing conducted online. Registration is entirely online via ULBI’s official site for the Pos Indonesia Bond route at https://admission.ulbi.ac.id

Cost-wise, the Education Development Fund (DPP) for this route is paid once during the study period, while tuition (SPP) per semester remains fixed until graduation. The DPP can be paid in two instalments over the first two semesters and must be settled by the end of the second semester.

“All registration and selection fees are the responsibility of the participant because this is not a scholarship scheme,” the Rector noted.

During the programme, students must maintain a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.00, without retaking any courses, must not take academic leave, and must hold a TOEFL certificate with a minimum score of 450 by the end of the study period. Evaluations will be conducted annually by PT Pos Indonesia.

The Employment Bond Programme is available for S1 and D4 across several programmes under the School of Logistics and Transport, the School of Business and Management, and the School of Information Technology. The curriculum is designed to meet industry needs in logistics and supply chain, with opportunities for internships and extensive industry networking.

Future HR at Pos Indonesia

In the same event, Asih Kurniasari Komar, Director of Human Capital Management at PT Pos Indonesia (Persero), said the Bond Programme is a collaboration aimed at preparing capable, excellent, and progressive human resources.

“This is part of our effort to obtain outstanding HR. Pos Indonesia aims to recruit academically strong human resources with strong character to advance the logistics industry in Indonesia. This is a remarkable opportunity for students to join a BUMN,” she explained.

She assured the programme would run smoothly, because through it Pos Indonesia continues to be constructed. Graduates will be placed directly as supervisors nationwide.

Edy Purwanto, Head of the Vocational School Development Division, West Java Education Office, welcomed the programme, saying ULBI and PT Pos Indonesia will aid education and employment development in West Java. He noted that the Gross Participation Rate in higher education in West Java remains low and unemployment remains high, and the bonded employment scheme could help raise APK and create new jobs.

“We welcome the programme. At the same time, we invite other state-owned enterprises and companies to organise similar employment-bond programmes,” he added.

Through this collaboration, Pos Indonesia offices across Indonesia will be used as sites for online examinations.
