Ukraine ready to comply with ceasefire during negotiations
Ukraine is ready to comply with a ceasefire on air strikes against Russian cities involved in the negotiation process, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced, as reported by Xinhua on Sunday (6/9) local time.
“From now until the end of Saturday, as well as on Sunday (6/9) and Monday (7/9), Ukraine is ready to refrain from launching attacks on Moscow,” Zelensky said on platform X after a telephone conversation with US President Donald Trump’s envoys, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.
Zelensky said Ukraine expects Russia to take similar steps towards Kiev.
According to the Interfax-Ukraine news agency, Witkoff and Kushner plan to visit Kiev on Sunday, following their visit to Moscow.
