Istanbul (ANTARA) - British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is reportedly set to announce his resignation as early as Monday, amid changing circumstances within his government. Starmer has repeatedly insisted he will not simply relinquish his post and would defend his position should a new challenger emerge, according to a BBC report cited by Anadolu on Sunday. However, circulating reports indicate a shift in the political atmosphere inside Starmer’s government over the past 48 hours. A number of figures within the administration now believe Starmer will announce a timeline for his resignation at the earliest on Monday. Business Minister Peter Kyle said Starmer would act “with the national interest foremost in mind”. He added that the UK PM is currently assessing the challenges he faces and the prevailing political realities. It has also been reported that pressure on Starmer has been mounting significantly.
