UK minister arrives today

JAKARTA (JP): British Minister for Horticulture, Forestry and Rural Affairs Tim Boswell is expected to arrive here today for a three-day visit to promote business relations with Indonesia, the British embassy announced Saturday.

"This trade mission will build on the success of last year's visit by my ministerial colleague, Tony Baldry, and the memorandum of understanding that we signed with Indonesia in July," Boswell was quoted by the embassy as saying.

The minister will be accompanied by a business team representing companies offering a wide range of goods and services.

The embassy also announced that Britain's Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce and Industry is organizing a trade mission to Indonesia from Sept. 22 to Sept. 27.

British companies involved in the mission will promote a wide range of products and services, from machines dispensing hot and cold drinks to the lighting towers used in aircraft maintenance. (13)
