He conveyed congratulations while emphasising the strategic role of the professors in transforming knowledge and building society. Sahiron also stressed the importance of implementing a curriculum based on love, which instils values of mahabbah lillah, mahabbah linnas, mahabbah lil ’alam, and mahabbah lil wathan as the foundation of humanistic and civilised Islamic education. Meanwhile, the Rector of UIN Madura, Dr Saiful Hadi, explained that the inauguration of professors is an important indicator of institutional progress as well as academic capacity building. “Professors are academic strength as well as determinants of the direction of institutional advancement. The presence of these professors will strengthen the quality of knowledge and the campus’s real contribution in addressing societal issues,” he said. “Various social, political, educational, and economic problems can be addressed through the scholarly approaches of the professors. This is evidence that the campus is present as a solution for society,” he added. According to Saiful, cross-sector collaboration in building a more advanced civilisation is also important, as the campus, government, and society must work together. “Collaboration is the key to bringing faster and more impactful change,” he said. According to him, the inauguration of UIN Madura professors coinciding with National Education Day serves as a real reflection of the spirit of education. Because, he continued, education cannot be built by one party alone, but requires universal participation from the campus, government, society, to the industrial world to deliver inclusive and quality education. He added that the presence of the professors is part of efforts to expand access, improve quality, and strengthen the relevance of higher education in society. After the inauguration ceremony, the event continued with scientific orations by the professors, showcasing their scholarly contributions in their respective fields.
