UIN Jakarta Ensures Education Integration Does Not Disrupt Teaching and Learning
Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta has ensured that the education integration process is running smoothly and is not disrupting Teaching and Learning Activities (KBM). This was conveyed directly by the Rector of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar, who personally led the visitation and socialisation activities regarding the implementation of the Minister of Religious Affairs Decree (KMA) Number 1453 of 2025. The regulation concerns the Guidelines for the Integration of Foundation Education Units into the Public Service Agency (BLU) of UIN Jakarta at several educational institutions undergoing the integration process. Asep visited several educational institutions on the list, starting with SMA and SMK Triguna to socialise the guidelines. However, upon arrival, the group briefly faced obstruction from several individuals claiming to represent a foundation. After communication and explanation to the relevant parties, the rectorate team successfully entered the school environment, meeting with the Principal and Head of Administration to socialise the regulation. In addition to the two upper secondary schools, the rectorate also visited TK Islam Pembangunan (TKIP) and SD Islam Pembangunan (SDIP) in Pamulang. A similar obstruction attempt occurred at that location. However, after mediation and with police assistance, the UIN Jakarta delegation was ultimately able to enter the school area to socialise the regulation. UIN Jakarta’s legal counsel, Alwanih, stressed that all activities took place without disrupting the teaching and learning process. "At TKIP and SDIP Pamulang, when the rectorate team entered the school area, the vehicles of parents picking up students had already left the school grounds. This condition indicates that learning and student pick-up activities had concluded, so there was no disruption to academic activities as alleged by some parties," said Alwanih. According to Alwanih, the visitation was part of the implementation of KMA Number 1543 of 2025 as well as a reinforcement of the process of integrating educational institutions into UIN Jakarta’s governance. He explained that the integration had previously been agreed upon by the foundation’s stakeholders, including the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, who is also former UIN Jakarta Rector Prof. Dede Rosyada, and had been followed up through legitimate legal mechanisms.
