UIN Jakarta Assures Triguna Teachers of Job Security as School Governance Shifts to BLU System
Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta has stated that the integration of SMA and SMK Triguna Utama’s management into the Public Service Agency (BLU) scheme will not alter the status or profession of teachers and education staff. The change is solely intended to strengthen the management, supervision, and governance system of the schools to make them more professional, transparent, and accountable. This assurance was delivered during the Inauguration and Briefing of Teachers and Employees of SMA and SMK Triguna Utama, which forms part of the school’s integration process into the governance system under UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. Rector of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, Prof Asep Saepudin Jahar, emphasised that this step is part of an effort to improve the system in accordance with the state’s mandate to UIN. According to him, the changes being made do not concern the teaching profession, but only the organisational management system. ‘We want to ensure that governance runs better, is accountable, and complies with regulations, while the rights and roles of teachers as educators remain respected,’ he said at the UIN Jakarta Campus in Ciputat, South Tangerang, on Monday (6/7/2026). During the briefing, it was explained that SMA and SMK Triguna Utama have actually been established for a long time. However, their management had not been under the direct authority of UIN, so the governance system was considered not to be running optimally. Through this integration, all teachers and education staff are asked not to worry because their duties and roles as educators will continue as before. The changes only occur in the aspects of governance, the supervisory system, and the school management mechanism. If previously the supervisory function was under a foundation, now supervision is carried out by UIN.
