UIC hands out $1.35m dividend

JAKARTA: Publicly listed chemical company PT Unggul Indah Cahaya
(UIC) announced that it would distribute US$1.35 million for
dividend from its 2002 audited net profit of $9 million.

The company said on Friday that last year's net profit was
slightly up due to the reduction of operational costs, while its
consolidated sales dropped by 4.77 percent to $172 million from
$180 million in 2001.

The decline in sales was caused by a cut in the prices of its
