UI wins debate contest

BANDUNG: The University of Indonesia debating team for the
fourth consecutive year walked away on Saturday as the champions
in the national university English debating contest.

The all-girl debating team comprising Dayu Nirma, Yohanna
Florence and Rully Sandra won with their strong arguments against
the motion that regional autonomy would help to realize
globalization in Indonesia.

Some 40 teams from 31 universities participated in the annual
debating contest which was first held in 1998.
