JAKARTA - The UI Student Executive Board (BEM) has pressed the Depok Metro Police to provide the fourth Notification of Case Progress (SP2HP) regarding the death of student Akseyna Ahad Dori, promised at the latest on 4 April 2026.

UI BEM Social-Political Division Coordinator for 2026, Muhammad Hafidz Haernanda, stated that they had sent a request letter for the SP2HP to inquire about the progress of Akseyna’s case while reaffirming the police’s commitment to resolving the case that has been ongoing for nearly 11 years.

“We are urging the Depok Metro Police to issue the fourth SP2HP at the latest by 1 April, and the police have committed to delivering it by 4 April at the latest,” Hafidz said in his statement on Wednesday (1/4/2026).

“In their explanation, the Depok Metro Police stated that the status of Akseyna’s case cannot yet be determined as a criminal act,” Hafidz added.

Consequently, BEM UI plans to hold an action at the UI Library Circular Garden in Depok on Thursday (2/4/2026).

This action is intended as a form of pressure to ensure the police take the case seriously and complete the fourth SP2HP by the specified deadline.

Hafidz emphasised that this action also serves as a reminder that, despite the case having run for a long time, the victim’s family is still awaiting clarity and justice.

“We hope the police can handle this case seriously and transparently. The victim’s family has the right to know the developments and results of the investigation,” Hafidz added.

To date, the case, which has been ongoing for nearly 11 years, has not yet found a clear resolution, and the victim’s family is still waiting for justice.

Over the 11 years, the Depok Metro Police has only issued three SP2HPs, namely on 24 October 2022, 14 June 2024, and 25 October 2024.

However, the initial police commitment was to provide SP2HP every three months.
