UI Student Alliance Sends Open Letter to President Prabowo, Demanding Indonesia Withdraw from BoP
Jakarta — Representatives of students under the banner of the Aliansi Mahasiswa Universitas Indonesia (UI) sent an open letter to President Prabowo Subianto on Wednesday, 4 March 2026. The letter was delivered directly to the Office of the State Secretariat (Kemensetneg). Razan Diandra, a representative of the UI Students Alliance, said the letter contained a statement of position as well as a ‘final warning’ for the President to withdraw from the Board of Peace (BoP). Indonesia was also urged to stop involvement in the deployment of ISF troops, which is seen as potentially causing harm through confrontation and demilitarisation of Palestinian independence fighters. ‘We urge and demand the President’s promise made on 3-4 February 2026 that Indonesia would withdraw from BoP if it proves not to be in line with Palestinian independence,’ he said in a statement to Republika on Wednesday.
