UI-Lebak Bulus Becomes Transjabodetabek's Most Popular Bus Route
PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) recorded that the Transjabodetabek service in March and April 2026 was used by more than 2 million passengers. Of the 18 Transjabodetabek routes, the D21 service (Universitas Indonesia/UI-Lebak Bulus) was the most popular with the public. Head of Public Relations and CSR at Transjakarta, Ayu Wardhani, said the number of Transjabodetabek passengers in April 2026 reached 2,467,493, about a 22 percent increase from March 2026 which stood at 2,021,547 passengers. ‘This is a positive signal that the public is increasingly willing to switch to public transport as a daily mobility solution,’ Ayu said in a press release in Jakarta on Friday (22/5/2026). From the data, the number of passengers on the UI-Lebak Bulus route in March 2026 reached 245,867; the figure rose in April 2026 to 315,768. Therefore, the UI-Lebak Bulus route passenger total for March–April 2026 was 561,635. In second place in April 2026 was the P11 (Bogor-Blok M) route with 249,580 passengers, up from 211,634 in the previous month. Meanwhile, the T11 (Poris Plawad-Petamburan) route recorded 244,143 passengers in April, up from 223,740 in March. Fourth place went to the S21 (Ciputat-CSW) route with 231,978 passengers in April, up from 183,494 in March. The S22 (Ciputat-Kampung Rambutan) route served 179,894 passengers in April, up from 122,596 in the previous month. For the Transjabodetabek SH2 route (Bandara Soekarno-Hatta/Soetta-Blok M), which was inaugurated on 12 March 2026, also saw growth. The SH2 Blok M–Bandara Soekarno-Hatta route recorded an increase from 32,278 in March to 45,113 in April. Ayu stated that management will continue to strive to improve Transjabodetabek services to make it easier for people from surrounding areas to travel to Jakarta. ‘Transjakarta will continue to strengthen services that are safe, comfortable, and integrated to facilitate travel for people from the hinterlands to Jakarta and vice versa,’ Ayu said.
