Depok (ANTARA) - Universitas Indonesia (UI) has inaugurated a satellite office located in Rawamangun, Jakarta, as a tangible manifestation of efforts to optimise the assets and facilities owned by the higher education institution. UI Rector Prof. Heri Hermansyah in Jakarta on Monday hopes that the UI Satellite Office, inaugurated today, will not merely serve as a physical facility but as a vibrant space that provides real benefits and functions as a catalyst to propel UI towards becoming an increasingly superior and impactful campus. The UI Satellite Office is positioned as an icon as well as a catalyst that accelerates UI’s advancement as a superior and impactful campus for Indonesia. Prof. Heri expressed appreciation to all parties involved in the series of renovation efforts for the UI Satellite Office in Rawamangun. Its strategic location in Jakarta as the national economic and business centre, he said, positions the UI Satellite Office as a bridge that facilitates UI’s collaboration and synergy with strategic partners across sectors. This office is inaugurated not merely as a physical facility but is expected to become a productive living space for UI leadership and academic community in carrying out the tri dharma of higher education. “The inauguration of the UI Satellite Office is a milestone realised through close synergy among all parties, both from UI’s four main organs and PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk,” he concluded. Senior Executive Vice President of Institutional Relations at Bank Mandiri, Dadang Ramadhan, stated that the inauguration of the UI Satellite Office is a strategic step in strengthening synergy between the world of education and the industrial sector, as well as becoming a solid foundation for increasingly close cooperation in the future. “We believe that collaboration with higher education institutions like UI will create sustainable added value for society and the economy,” he said.
