UI GreenMetric visits Danantara Indonesia to expand into corporate sector
Depok – UI GreenMetric has visited the office of Danantara Indonesia to reaffirm its commitment to promoting sustainability at the global level by expanding its initiatives into the corporate sector.
UI GreenMetric Head Vishnu Juwono stated in Depok on Saturday that this expansion represents part of the institution’s long-term vision.
“Sustainability is no longer merely a sectoral agenda, but rather a foundation of modern governance. UI GreenMetric is committed to establishing credible and measurable standards, enabling Indonesia’s corporate sector to transform towards more transparent, accountable and sustainable practices,” said Vishnu Juwono.
This strategic move was marked by an official visit to Danantara Indonesia’s office on 24 February 2026.
Vishnu stated that the initiative aims to position UI GreenMetric as a credible and authoritative benchmark for measuring private sector sustainability performance, whilst strengthening its role as a strategic partner in responsible development.
Previously, UI GreenMetric had also conducted a socialisation session with the Indonesia Stock Exchange, which demonstrated the enthusiasm and readiness of the capital market sector in strengthening sustainability practices. The activity was deemed successful in demonstrating UI GreenMetric’s relevance as a strategic partner in promoting responsible corporate governance.
The meeting was attended by UI GreenMetric’s leadership, including the Vice Chair, Operational Manager, Data and Service Development personnel, as well as Partnership and Communications teams.
From Danantara Indonesia, the meeting was led by Managing Director of Global Relations & Governance Mohamad Al-Arief, alongside the Global Relations and Partnerships team.
During the meeting, both parties discussed opportunities for strategic collaboration to strengthen sustainability awareness and practices within the national corporate environment.
Mohamad Al-Arief expressed his appreciation for the initiative.
“We view sustainability as an important pillar in governance and global competitiveness. Collaboration with UI GreenMetric opens space for constructive synergy to strengthen the standards and practices of Indonesian corporate sustainability in line with global developments,” said Mohamad Al-Arief.
Both institutions emphasised the importance of collective action, institutional synergy and long-term partnerships in building a corporate ecosystem oriented towards responsible growth and environmental conservation.
Through this step, UI GreenMetric further solidifies its position as a catalyst for sustainable transformation that bridges the academic and industrial worlds, whilst contributing to national and global efforts in achieving inclusive and sustainable development.
