UI GreenMetric Strengthens Sustainable Campus with Turkish Embassy
Depok (ANTARA) - The head of UI GreenMetric, Dr. Vishnu Juwono, visited the Turkish Embassy in Indonesia to strengthen commitments to transforming sustainable campuses.
Vishnu Juwono in Depok on Friday viewed Turkey as a key partner in accelerating outcome-oriented sustainability agendas.
He emphasised that current global challenges are no longer about a lack of frameworks or promises, but rather the need to accelerate the massive delivery of results.
“Universities must act as engines of transformation by embedding sustainability principles into governance, infrastructure, research, and learning processes. We must move from fragmented initiatives towards integrated, data-based, and accountable systems,” Vishnu asserted.
“We are a policy ecosystem that enables comparability, strengthens accountability, and fosters cross-border collaboration for real and measurable outcomes,” he added.
Support from the Turkish Embassy
The Turkish Embassy welcomed this vision and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the synchronisation of policies between universities in Turkey and the global standards promoted by UI GreenMetric.
Meanwhile, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Selman Özdan, Education Attaché at the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey, expressed his appreciation for UI GreenMetric’s role in guiding higher education institutions towards better environmental management.
This substantive meeting agreed that future priorities are to ensure every partnership yields data-accountable results.
UI GreenMetric is committed to continuing to embrace global partners to shape a more effective sustainability transition in the higher education sector worldwide.
