UI gets new professor
JAKARTA (JP): Dr. Farid Anfasa Moeloek, a lecturer from the Medical School of the University of Indonesia (UI), was inducted as professor yesterday.
During the inauguration ceremony, which was led by UI rector Prof. M.K. Tadjudin, Farid delivered a speech entitled "The shift of basic thinking in obstetrics and gynecology as the foundation of health reproduction science".
At the ceremony the new professor was accompanied by his wife and his three children.
Farid, who was born 53 years ago in Liwa, Lampung, is the university's 68th medical school professor. He was the first professor inducted by the university this year.
Currently, there are eight more professors waiting to be inducted into the university: Four of them from the Medical School, two from the Socio-Political School, one from the Economic School and one from the School of Math and Natural Science. (mas)
