UGM holds writing competition
In order to increase journalists' understanding about tertiary education quality assurance, and promote its policy regarding the matter with the public at large, Gadjah Mada University (UGM) is offering a writing competition on tertiary education quality assurance for journalists.
According to head of UGM's Quality Assurance Office Toni Atyanto Dharoko the competition is open to print media journalists. Participants are required to submit to the university an article published between Oct. 20 and Nov. 20, 2004, by Nov. 27 at the latest.
UGM is offering prizes of Rp 1,000,000, Rp 750,000, and Rp 500,000 for the three winners of the competition. The announcement of the winners is scheduled for Dec. 4, 2004. -- JP
