UEFA reviews Turkey matches
European football's governing body UEFA said on Thursday they
were urgently reviewing security in Turkey following Thursday's
blasts in Istanbul to decide if two matches will be played next
week.
Galatasaray is due to play Italian champion Juventus in
Istanbul on Tuesday and Israeli side Maccabi Haifa is scheduled
to play Spanish club Valencia in a UEFA Cup match in Izmir on
Thursday.
The match was moved to Turkey because of security concerns in
Israel.
Meanwhile, UEFA has confirmed hosts Portugal, defending
champion France, Sweden and the Czech Republic as the seeds for
next year's European Championship finals in Portugal.
The full draw will be made on Sunday, Nov. 30 but already the
second tier countries -- Italy, Spain, England and World Cup
finalists Germany -- know they will not have to play each other
in the first round group stage.
