Universitas Bina Sarana Informatika (UBSI), known as a Creative Digital Campus, is continuing its efforts to expand its international academic network. Through its International Affairs Office (KUI), UBSI held a strategic meeting with the President of the University of Northern Philippines (UNP), Erwin F. Cadorna, on the sidelines of the Global Sustainable Development Congress (GSDC) 2026 at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD, Tangerang City, on Wednesday (24/6/2026). The meeting served as a further step in strengthening the international cooperation already established between the two universities. Both institutions discussed a number of collaborative programmes focusing on international student mobility, faculty exchange, and research collaboration as part of efforts to improve the quality of higher education on a global scale. Head of UBSI’s International Affairs Office, Jimmi, stated that international partnerships are a crucial strategy for improving educational quality while expanding opportunities for students and lecturers to participate at a global level. ‘Through this meeting, we are committed to continuously strengthening institutional relations with the University of Northern Philippines. We hope that the established collaboration can provide tangible benefits for students, lecturers, and the institutions through various sustainable international programmes,’ he said in a press release received on Saturday (27/6/2026). One of the main agendas discussed was the development of student mobility programmes so that learners from both institutions can gain cross-border learning experiences while broadening their international perspectives. Additionally, both parties discussed enhancing faculty exchange programmes as a means of sharing experiences, developing academic competencies, and exchanging knowledge. In the field of research, UBSI and the University of Northern Philippines agreed to strengthen collaboration through joint research, international scientific publications, and participation in various global academic forums. This cooperation is expected to produce innovations and solutions that support the sustainable development agenda. President of the University of Northern Philippines, Erwin F. Cadorna, expressed his appreciation for the good relations established with UBSI. He assessed that both institutions share the same vision of building quality, inclusive higher education capable of competing at the international level. As a Creative Digital Campus, UBSI continues to strengthen collaborations with various overseas universities as part of its internationalisation strategy.
