UBSI Yogyakarta Campus Initiates Tridharma Collaboration at Vredeburg Fort
The Universitas Bina Sarana Informatika (UBSI) Yogyakarta campus held discussions on collaboration for implementing the Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi at Vredeburg Fort in Yogyakarta on Tuesday (21/4/2026). This initiative aims to strengthen partnerships in education, research, and community service. The effort involved the UBSI Yogyakarta campus head, Sardiarinto, and the Hospitality Programme Chair, Emmita Devi Hari Putri, who explored cooperation opportunities with the fort’s management. During the meeting, both parties discussed the potential synergy between academia and the managers of this educational tourism destination, particularly in supporting the enhancement of student competencies. Sardiarinto stated that this collaboration is expected to provide tangible benefits for students, especially in improving their field practice experience. “Vredeburg Fort, as one of Yogyakarta’s educational tourism destinations, has great potential to become a strategic partner in developing student competencies,” he told the media in Yogyakarta on Monday (4/5/2026). Emmita added that the collaboration could be realised through various programmes, such as student internships, practical activities, joint research, and organising events that support education-based tourism development. Agus Sulis, Head of Vredeburg Fort Museum and a member of the Special Region of Yogyakarta Museum Consultative Body (BARAHMUS), welcomed the cooperation plan and emphasised the importance of universities’ role in supporting innovative and educational museum management. He noted that through these discussions, both parties hope the collaboration will soon be formalised and sustained to support higher education development and the tourism sector in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. “We hope this collaboration can soon be realised formally and sustainably to support the tourism sector in Yogyakarta,” he said. As a Creative Digital Campus, UBSI hopes this collaboration will open more opportunities for students to engage directly in industry practice, while also encouraging the creation of educational programmes relevant to workforce needs and tourism sector developments.
