UBSI to Visit Leading Southeast Asian Universities Through Edutrip
Universitas Bina Sarana Informatika (UBSI) is preparing to hold an international programme, the EduTrip Program Batch 3 (Singapore–Malaysia), from 2 to 5 November 2026. The agenda is designed to provide a direct learning experience and global insights in two Southeast Asian countries.
Under the theme “International Networking & Life Abroad Experience”, the programme combines academic activities, city exploration and social action. Through the initiative, the university community is invited to experience the dynamics of international education while developing social awareness across national borders.
UBSI Edutrip Programme Coordinator Dr Cicih Nuraeni said the activities would focus on participants’ personal development and strengthening their global networks. The programme is also intended to broaden perspectives on education beyond the classroom.
“The programme aims to provide global insights, cross-border academic experience and personal development through campus tours, city tours and international community service,” Dr Cicih said in Jakarta on Tuesday (27 October 2026).
As part of the programme, participants will undertake international community service at the Sanggar Bimbingan (SB) Kampung Baru in Kuala Lumpur. There, they will interact directly with children of Indonesian migrant workers, teach basic literacy and numeracy, and provide interactive educational activities for children who face limited access to formal education.
“Alongside the social mission, participants are also scheduled to make academic visits to leading universities, including Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore and INTI International University in Malaysia. The campus visits are intended to introduce them to research, innovation and world-class learning environments,” Dr Cicih said.
She added that, by combining academic experience with social empathy, UBSI, known as the Creative Digital Campus, hopes participants will develop their leadership skills and cross-cultural awareness.
“This global perspective is expected to strengthen their competitiveness as they face career challenges at the international level,” she concluded.
