UBSI Students Win National Accolades in 'Empowering Student Achievement' Scientific Writing Competition
Two UBSI Sukabumi students from Universitas Bina Sarana Informatika, known as the Creative Digital Campus, have again secured national honours. This time, Fitranaya Aulia and M Padlan Muharrom won national awards in the ‘Empowering Student Achievement’ scientific writing competition. Fitranaya won the Best Solution Award in the Youth category, while Padlan received the Best Creative Concept Award in the Environmental category.
The prestigious competition, organised by Achieve.id, drew entrants from various education levels, from high school pupils to diploma and master’s students from across Indonesia.
The series of events, held from February to early March 2026, included registration, submission, shortlisting, panel judging, and the winners’ announcement on 1 March 2026.
The ‘Empowering Student Achievement’ competition provides a key platform for students from different higher education institutions to channel creative ideas and solution-oriented proposals to a range of societal issues.
Participants are encouraged to produce works that are not only innovative but also relevant to contemporary developments.
Padlan explained that his scientific paper emerged from a deep observation of the dynamics of student life amid social and educational changes. The dynamics of student life in this changing era examine how shifts in educational and social environments influence thinking patterns and individual behaviours, especially during the transition from school to higher education.
‘This work also emphasises that negative behaviours that may arise are not permanent, because every individual has the opportunity to change for the better,’ Padlan said in a statement received on Tuesday (19 May 2026).
Meanwhile, Fitranaya focused her work on the importance of the role of the younger generation in confronting the rapid advancement of technology in the modern era.
‘The empowered and impactful youth strategies for boosting student achievement in the Society 5.0 era are underpinned by rapid technological development and digitalisation. Therefore, students need to possess abilities that go beyond purely academic aspects,’ she said.
The achievements by the two UBSI Sukabumi campus students demonstrate that students can compete at the national level through innovative and solution-oriented scientific works. The success is hoped to inspire and motivate other UBSI students on the Sukabumi campus to continue exploring their potential, developing ideas, and actively participating in a range of academic competitions.
